This is the story of Amiel, a girl whose spirit, once vibrant and full of life, has been dimmed by the shadows of abuse and manipulation. She carries the weight of her past like a heavy cloak, its darkness suffocating her. Anxiety whispers insidious lies in her ear, painting a world where she is unworthy, unlovable, and perpetually trapped. Depression, a relentless companion, casts a pall over her days, stealing her joy and leaving her adrift in a sea of despair.
Amiel's world is a fragile, fractured landscape, a place where trust is a shattered mirror and hope feels like a distant, fading memory. She exists in a perpetual state of fear, her heart a fragile bird trapped in a cage of her own making.
Then, into this world of shadows, steps a boy named Blaze. He is a beacon of light, his presence radiating warmth and kindness. He sees the pain she hides behind a mask of stoicism, the vulnerability beneath her carefully constructed walls. Blaze doesn't shy away from her darkness; instead, he offers her a hand, a gentle touch, a listening ear. He becomes her solace, her safe space, a sanctuary where she can finally shed the weight of her burdens and begin to heal.
From the void of space, a ship appears. . . with only one purpose-to wipe out all the inhabitants off the face of the planet.
Decades later, a young woman, Alecia, with her memory wiped, wakes up into a world she knows little about-except that it is now a husk of its former self. She ventures forth, unaware of the dangers that lay ahead. Very soon she finds out she's not like any human being. With her vulnerable mind, she possesses abnormal abilities not known to her. Not knowing how to tap into it. Not knowing if it can be controlled, she can only hope that it doesn't consume her.
Alecia meets new individuals. Some are friends; some are enemies. While she learns little by little the mystery of her past, she finds herself drowned in need of knowing her origins. . . but it seems that the unknown is much more terrifying than she has ever imagined.
