When orphan Arya Ashsong from district six is reaped into the 74th annual Hunger Games, she believes she's as good as dead. What she doesn't believe are the feelings she feels for the tribute boy from district two, Cato, and that he feels the same way. Arya must figure out how to survive the deadly Hunger Games and find out if the world she once knew will ever be the same again. When Marlowe Ordell hears the announcement she fears for the life of her 12 year old brother. There was a 1 in 400 chance that he gets called and he'd be all alone. She never once thought about her own life until she was the one to be called. She runs into a Career Tribute who takes an interest to her.
