This is a Percy Jackson fanfiction. It is a Thercy (Thanatos/Percy) story. I am just trying this out. Tell me what thou think and I'll continue it. It probably won't be as good as my other stories though. Percy is betrayed by everyone. I'm not going to go over how he was betrayed, not in the summary nor in the story. He dies but helps out Thanatos and stuff, and Hades let him go back to the mortal world for that. When Annabeth leaves him for his half brother with everyone else, he is heartbroken. But he realizes that their life was never meant to be. He realizes that he likes Thanatos, who he had met when he freed him. But he didn't tell anyone-not even those who never betrayed him. Someone seems to answer his prayers as they are out to seek his life just as he is about to get back a little piece of happiness. You know, the man in the dark hooded tunic with the scythe. A Greek god tasked to collect souls of the newly deceased and bring them to the underworld. He decided when their time was up, merely decided the fate of individuals. He is the son of Nyx, goddess of night, and the brother of Hypnos, God of sleep. However a soul so sweet didn't deserve to be there. Thanatos knew her purpose, watched over her since she had been born, his hard shell never deliberately expressing care for her. But at 25 Aphrodite confronted Thanatos to bring his betrothed to the underworld. He refused, but time was ticking, the people were growing impatient. It had to be done.

Afterall, someone can only stay away from the person they're in love with for so long. One argument and a couple of confessions later leaves them on a confusing path that has the opportunity to be beautiful or disastrous. Love is magical but it is also savage. For Aphrodite and Thanatos, they are each other's downfalls and each others saviors. How long they last is up to them. How much they go through to get together is up to fate. You would think being a death god would make for easy earnings. Well that is completely wrong. Thanatos does not find his job easy. Gathering souls was messy work. Whether its in a shipwreck or in a massacre, brought down by a god's wrath. Well there is an upside. He can meet some interesting people. See interesting places. One time he did meet someone very interesting one time while gathering souls after a shipwreck. One he did not think he would ever meet. A merman. Very interesting indeed.
