Harley Nice, her sister Harmony, her brother Harry, and there parents have all just moved into a large house in the suburbs of New Jersey. New York to New Jersey in two weeks was a big change for the five of them. They had to grow accustomed to the new life that they had in Jersey and for Harley, Harmony, and Harry, it might be a bigger change than they expected. Harley becomes reluctant to accept the fact that she has to leave her old life behind in New York, but it's crucial that they move. Harley and Harmony are twins. They look alike, have similar personalities, and love the same things. The only difference between the two of them, is that Harmony, was born with a deadly cancer that causes her to be paralyzed in the bottom half of her body. She rides around in a wheel chair, and has to carry around a gas tank so she can breathe. The symptoms grow worse and worse everyday, so Mr. and Mrs. Nice found the best medical treatment for Harmony, before she passes away.
Harley doesn't know the severity of her condition and continues to treat Harmony as she would treat any sister; not very well. That is of course, until she meets Adam Augello (born Fabrisius Nafari Augello), a hopeless romantic from Iceland, who is the eighth child in a family with thirteen kids. About half of course are adopted siblings, but giving birth to seven kids is still a lot in Harley's mind. At first, Harley finds that Adam comes on too strong but the two grow closer and closer as time goes by, which makes Harley's sassy attitude, go down and starts to understand that joys of family and how lucky she is to have them. But what happens when Harley's source of happiness is gone?
I know that this description is a little hard to understand and probably sounds like it will be sad, but trust me when I say, that the story was not made to be sad, it's a very romantic story with twists and turns. Harmony is not who the story is centered around.
