Phoebe and Martyna are two 16 year old girls who have been best friends since the age 11 (summer 11). They are pretty much inseparable even though they are quite different. They both hang out with the pogues here and there but are known as the duo of outerbanks. But this summer (summer 16) they both find love with complete opposite boys. Rafe and JJ. This doesn't stop their friendship but you could say it changes their worlds.

Phoebe's parents are separated, mums a pogue and dad's a kook. She has 2 little sisters called Frances and Hollie. Although Phoebe's never been that close with her family. Her cousin is Barry, the dealer of OBX, and they are pretty close.

Martyna's parents are pogues, who work at a small takeaway pizza place by all the other small shops. Martyna's an only child so she's quite close with her parents.
Martyna's cousin is Kiara but they wernt always the closest as the moms never got along and had a huge fight when they were younger. However martyna and kiara both still get along despite not being that close.
