15 year old, Nancy Peterson discovers love for the first time when she first meets Thomas (Tommy) Larson. Tommy moves into town to move back to the farm his mother and father once owned, now that his father has deceased, just him, his two younger brothers and his mother move back to Kansas. His mother and late father turn out to be Nancy's parents best friends. Tommy's two years older than Nancy and still isn't as mature as you'd think he'd be, after Nancy is banned from seeing Tommy...her elder sister tries to slide in and steal Tommy away...once Nancy realizes that her sister isn't going to back down, she tries not to give up hope. Until her parents decide to send her away, only giving her what was rest of June. A certain someone comes up with a plan that involves himself and Nancy in order to get Ginny back, which only lands Nancy in a bigger pickle.
