A heart-wrenching account of two best friends battling depression, addiction, and the struggle to cope with their own mental health. Their journey from self-destruction to self-discovery, recovery, and healing follows the ups and downs of their friendship as they navigate a world that feels all-too-often cruel and unforgiving. Their bond is what keeps them going, but it is also what threatens to tear them apart. Can they find the strength to heal themselves, and each other, or will they succumb to the call of the void? IMPORTANT: This book will be about some rough and touchy subjects, if I even finish it at all. Read at your own risk and what not. I will not add trigger warnings to the beginning of chapters or before the trigger begins, as I feel that it spoils the event. All trigger warnings will be posted below. Please be sure to regularly check the trigger warnings before reading a newly updated or recently posted chapter. I'll be writing them down as the book moves forward, because I don't plan my books ahead. I make it up as I go along. I'm just cool like that. CURRENT TRIGGER WARNINGS: - Cussing - Struggles with mental health - Mentions of self harm - Addiction - Abuse

*TRIGGER WARNINGS LISTED BELOW. Not a supernatural or paranormal story. Literally about smol beans.* Counseling. A week of counseling. Sure, there were 6 fights in a month, but Principal Evans just didn't understand. Riley wasn't the bully, they were. But they're nerds, and they don't seem like bullies. And of course, his home life is a mess; his mom's dead, and his dad walked out two years before his mom died. He lives with his little sister and his alcoholic grandmother. Things don't look very good for him. But then there's Cam. Cam is not the same, but he seems to understand a bit. And Riley seems to understand him. Maybe, just maybe, things can turn out okay. Trigger Warnings: ~References to self harm (cutting, specifically) ~References to abusive situations (verbally abusive parents and a physically abusive brother) ~Bullying (a character regularly gets picked on and beat up by a group of kids) ~Fight scenes (Fight scenes) I think that's it.
