After finding out the people Midoriya worked beside for years aren't who he thinks, he runs. With a broken heart, he heads to the States, taking on a mission that was only meant to relocate him for a few months. However, when the mission was done, he decided to stay. He built a new life, met new people, had a reason to keep going. 

Meanwhile, everyone he left behind in Japan is stuck. Stuck in a job they don't like, stuck at the bottom, stuck at All Might's agency, not doing anything they thought they would be doing as heroes. 

When the agency gets passed on, they were all excited to finally be able to leave and move on with their lives. However, the only person that can help is also the same person they destroyed.
