A detective who just got off parol found himself back in the office and on a new assignment. The murder of a young lady forces the detective and a certain mortician to join together and solve this crime, but how will the detective react when he finds out who the mortician really is.

[COMPLETE!!!!] I've had this story idea for quite some time but kept on procrastinating on making a stable plot 🤣, but don't get me wrong, I still haven't made a stable plot, but I just decided to continue with the little inspiration I have and see where it'll take me.... no... take us.... right?, so do me a favor, read, vote and comment!!! 💕 SYNOPSIS: In this modern world, shadows are believed to be the protectors of society. However, not all shadows are good or bad - just like humans, some are kind and some are evil. Whether or not you'll be protected depends on your Shadow's willingness. At the age of 18, a person's shadow will graduate and become an independent human, separate from its owner. The Paranormal Shadow Association provides funds for these newly independent shadows to attend college and pursue their own careers. Xie Lian is about to turn 18 and is excited about the graduation of his shadow, Hua Cheng. However, Hua Cheng has different plans. He is determined to build a successful career. As Xie Lian navigates the challenges of high school and prepares for the future, he must confront the possibility of losing Hua Cheng forever. I gathered some headcanons I had and created some one-shots for you! I added some things to the story, such as: -Everyone recognizes Xie Lian's strength and ability and makes him the emperor of the heavens -Shi Quingxuan returns to the heavens -Hua Cheng is recognized by the heavens and the ghosts as Xie Lian's husband. [ discontinued ] An au fanfic of Xie Lian accidentally took over 9 years old Wei Wuxian's body before Jiang Fengmian took him to Lotus Pier. He happened to be in this child's body by the accident that created in Heavenly Capital. It was surprisingly that the soul of the child also can take over his body back but only in 12 hours or else his soul will be damaged. Hua Cheng was sad that he couldn't do anything about it but there's still hope for them. Xie Lian read the child's fate that he's gonna die in youth and Xie Lian will be able to get his body back. Hua Cheng will always wait for him. What will they do? Will they gonna help this child?
