Katsuki is everything Izuku is not. Katsuki's music is raw, imperfect, and always so full of emotion, so much so that it eats Izuku alive to know that he'll never be able to freely express himself the way that Katsuki does. There's so much pressure on him to do well that there's no time for him to color outside of the lines. He has to be perfect.

Izuku is on the fast track to making a living as a pianist, but those plans are promptly thrown out the window and set aflame when he gets into a car accident and permanently injures his hand. He almost gives up on his dreams entirely until he's convinced to accompany Katsuki for an upcoming competition. Not only does he have to learn how to play with an injured hand, but how to get along with Katsuki, as well.
