Love Birds Marriage

Tamil dentist Ishita Lair and Punjabi businessman Raman Bhalla live in Delhi and are neighbours. As Ishita is infertile, her mother struggles to find a groom for her.

While Raman is divorced. Ishita forms a motherly relationship with Raman's daughter Ruhi, who was abandoned by Raman's ex-wife Shagun when she left Raman for his wealthy boss Ashok Khanna. Ishita and Raman hate each other, and their families become embroiled in a lot of misunderstandings about each other, despite their cultural differences. Eventually, Ishita and Raman get married to help Raman secure custody of Ruhi, calling it a marriage only on papers for Ruhi's sake. However over time they fall in love and consummate their marriage.

Shagun keeps creating trouble for both of them, but later changes her ways. She introduces her son Aditya to the Bhalla family and becomes a surrogate mother to Ishita and Raman's daughter Pihu. Nidhi, a scheming lawyer, kidnaps Pihu. Ishita saves Pihu, but Nidhi runs away with Ruhi. He is believed to have died in an accident. Raman blames Ishita and breaks up with her. Guilt-ridden Ishita attempts suicide and is presumed dead.
