No one expects Lilith to survive to age twenty. Among all her sisters, Lilith is the most ill-equipped to be Siren Queen. Yet as the youngest daughter of seafoam, the crown fell onto her. A crown that had to be earned through a sacrifice, a tradition passed down from the first Siren. Lilith had one year to make a human man fall for her, then kill him, throwing his body back into the ocean to appease the gods, and cement her title as queen. Lilith would be granted immortality, and endless power over the sea. But if Lilith failed, like she knew she would, and the year passed without a sacrifice, Lilith would be turned into seafoam, and her people would die.
