The Reluctant Hero.
The story is set in Niriyain, an interdimensional prison world where those who enter can never leave. Cal, the son of two prisoners-Suilenroc, a thief, and Akemit, a disgraced nurse-has spent his life resenting the chains of a system that punishes him for the crimes of his parents. Path To Radiance; First Ascent
