A quiet student, Mia wants nothing more than to blend into the crowd and be forgotten. Her grandmother, who raised her alone, the family her grandmother refuses to talk about, the occult objects that filled her childhood and exerted a strange fascination on her-she refuses to dwell on any of it. But when she discovers a strange tarot deck hidden under the floorboards of the apartment where she grew up, she has no idea how irrevocably her life is about to change. Indeed, the cards she found are no ordinary ones; they belong to the Fool's Tarot, the most powerful and feared among the members of Jocus, a parallel society governed by occultism and cartomancy. Against her will, Mia now finds herself the sole owner of this highly coveted deck. Accompanied by Hyacinthe, her childhood friend who swears by science and logic, she inadvertently gets drawn into the conflicts of this strange underground world where tarot reigns supreme and lives are predestined. But the balance of Jocus is disrupted; the magic of the cards is faltering, strange mist creatures roam the sunny streets of the Mediterranean, and a mysterious figure haunts Mia's visions... With the help of Zaffiro, heir to one of the most influential Houses of Jocus, and Luciana, a cartomancer as talented as she is mysterious, Mia and Hyacinthe embark on a quest to find the source of the magic's disturbances. But in this world, the cards have already been dealt, the dice have already been cast. Can Mia and her companions escape the inevitable path that the Tarot has laid out for them? Written by Mab, based on an original idea by MAKMA studio and Myrà studio. Translated by Alexandra Maldwyn-Davies.

Love how the story is unfolding after each chapter" Review by @simrangharge, Twirling pages (The Review book) THIS IS MY FIRST BOOK AND I HOPE YOU ALL WILL HAVE AS MUCH FUN READING IT AS I HAD WRITING IT :) THERE ARE SOME HEAVY TOPICS MENTIONED (like rape and child abuse).
