Zanele Langa was chosen to be married to T'Challa Udaku, the prince of Wakanda. However, she was only alerted of the arrangement when she was 16. Raised in the River Tribe, Zanele was always interested in Botany and with the help of her father, Dakarai Langa, a Spiritual Healer, she quickly became a top contender in traditional medicine.
When she reached the peak of her studies, she was taken away to be trained in the ways of royalty till she was 24, where she would be officially engaged to T'Challa, and was to live a year in the palace, and after that time, they were to be wed. Zanele was eager in her various lessons of combat, medicine, agriculture, technology, but when it came to learning about her future husband, she hated those lessons with a passion and by the time she had arrived at the palace, she had a partial negative attitude towards the prince.
Trying to adapt to her new reality, dealing with gossip, and being homesick, Zanele and T'Challa find middle ground and genuinely form a friendship, which blooms into something more.
