Miscommunication

Disclaimer: This story holds spoilers for those who aren't caught up in Fairy Tail. It begins following the events of the show close but with changes. I am not trying to recreate Fairy Tail in any way just using events to build background for the beginning.

This is a Nalu fanfic where Lucy and Natsu aren't on the same page on where their relationship stands with one another. How long will it take for them to realize and sort things out?

Lucy has been in love with Natsu since she thought he had asked her out but, only wanted to borrow Virgo to dig up "treasure" in the park. Since then she's kept her feelings to herself for fear of messing up their friendship. Lucy is under the impression, that Natsu just likes her as a really, good friend because he's never come out and told her otherwise.

Natsu realized that what he feels for Lucy is Love during the battle on Tenrou Island where he almost lost her to Kain. Since then he has tried telling her in his own way how he feels and is under the impression that they are already a couple.
