Your mother and father were murdered by the villain Carnage, another person who was overrun by a symbiote just like Venom. On his way home, Eddie walks past where you have been hiding out for the past several months after the death of your parents. He sees how you're struggling with trying to live on your own, which makes him sympathize with you since he had a rough time in his life.
