Megumi Fushiguro is a famous modern-day detective who can solve cases quicker than any other. He has a bright future ahead of him and has the support of his friends and family around him. Life is going pretty well for him until his mystery-solving idol; Jin Itadori's home burns aflame. 

After the fire is put out, it is revealed that the man he's looked up to for years is dead. It was pronounced a suicide, but the police believe otherwise. Despite being the best detective on the force and the biggest fan of Jin, Megumi is not chosen to investigate his case. Instead, he is tasked with taking care of Jin's son, Yuji Itadori.

In a race against time, Megumi will soon learn that sometimes the greatest mysteries lie within the heart.
