I will try to write this as game accurate as possible.
All we hear from jak about his time in prison was that it was "a tough ride"
I plan to explain it all, if I can.
Details and places in jak 2 lead me to theorize and come up with game oriented conclusions, no added oc's, just the characters already in the game during the time frame of the two year gap.

Alex is a fifteen year old boy who had the worst luck in life. He'd witnessed his parents deaths, he was bounced from foster home to foster home, but this was the last time. His torture was their entertainment. His pain was what they thrived on. Then it went way too far, and he ran. There was only one person he trusted, and it was the boy he met at school on his first day there. He barely knew this boy, but when he needed a friend, this sweet, raven haired boy told him the most important word that he hadn't heard in a long time. "You're safe."
