As he's looking he hears Patton's voice coming from just down the hall, and realizes the perfect idea is to go look at the calendar hanging near Patton's room. It was risky, sure, but he could easily just claim to be past him. Or, current him, he supposes.
He walks down the familiar hall, careful to still be quiet. He's sure the other him is out right now, this used to be the time he did errands while Patton spoke to friends and family. He was still adjusting to the move, after all.
He takes down and looks at the front of the calendar, and is surprised and proud to see the year 2023 on it. He's smiling happily and begins hanging it back up when he hears his own name from Patton's room.
