Ashlyn Wallace is a young woman who dreams of becoming a famous singer so she can spread happiness all over the world, and her best friend, Ai Momoiro, fully supports her dream and helps her accomplish it. During their first day of school, Ashlyn and Ai encounter a pair of fairylike creatures named Valentine and Emi, who come from a separate world called Harmonia, the land of music, to Earth to search for heroes known as 'Musical Maidens', who use the power of music to fight evil creatures known as Music Demons, beings formed from music and energy from negative human emotions. Ashlyn and Ai are chosen to be Musical Maidens of Earth, and along the way, they will meet new friends and fight all sorts of enemies to protect the music of Earth.

Everyone has to visit a magic Academy at least once in their lifetime o else the won't be allowed to use their ability in any way and are given some type of blockage. There are thousands and thousands of Academies but there are exactly 3 Elite Academies, on the continent, Ashlyn lives. Heart Academy, Eagle Academy and... Hillside Academy.
