I couldn't believe the words coming out of Taehyung's mouth. Sitting across from him in my dimly lit room, the weight of his confession hung heavily between us. "You're telling me... you did all of this, just to keep Ara for yourself?" My voice trembled with a mix of anger and disbelief. Taehyung's eyes were dark, his usual playful demeanor replaced with something I barely recognized. "Yes," he said quietly. "I couldn't lose her. Not to anyone, especially not you." My heart pounded in my chest, each beat echoing the hurt and betrayal I felt. Ara... sweet, innocent Ara. She had no idea about the depths Taehyung had sunk to, the lengths he had gone. And all this time, I thought we were just friends, all of us. But now, everything was twisted. "You think this will make her love you?" I scoffed, trying to keep my emotions in check. "Doing these things... hurting people... it won't change her feelings." Taehyung's jaw clenched. "It doesn't matter. As long as you're the only one standing in my way, I'll keep fighting. She'll never know what I've done." I stood up, the chair scraping loudly against the wooden floor. "You can't keep this up, Taehyung. One day, she'll see the truth. And when she does, she'll hate you for it." His eyes met mine, filled with a desperation I had never seen before. "I'd rather her hate me and be safer with me than love you and be taken away." "You're wrong, Taehyung. Love doesn't work like that. You can't force it, and you can't manipulate it." Turning on my heel, I walked out of the room, my mind racing. I had to protect Ara from this twisted game Taehyung was playing. No matter what it took, I had to make sure Ara should know the truth, even if it meant confronting the person I once called my bestfriend .
