Dorcas raises an eyebrow, her dark eyes flashing. "And why do you always have to be so Gryffindor?"
"What's that supposed to mean?"

Marlene is a Griffyndoor, which means she is brave, impulsive and a party animal in all ways. but sadly with the red a golden house pride comes detentions, so, many, detentions. ans this particular one, she was stuck with none other than Dorcas Meadowes, Slytherin's resident ice queen and her sworn enemy since first year. Though both girls share a house hatred since the begining of time, they also share a hatred for Dumbledoor's opinions and rebeling against him: which evidently will lead to a "Prom Pact".

"Here's to us," I whispered to the room, though the words were more for myself than for anyone else.
"Here's to new beginnings."

Fifteen-year-old Madeline Potter has spent her life hidden away, overshadowed by the legend of her brother, Harry Potter. When she finally arrives at Hogwarts in her fifth year, she expects to be sorted into Gryffindor, to finally belong at his side. Instead, the Sorting Hat makes a choice that shocks the entire school-Slytherin. The Great Hall falls silent. Harry's face is frozen in disbelief. The Gryffindors whisper, the Hufflepuffs glance at each other warily, and the Ravenclaws analyze the implications. But the worst reaction comes from her new house. The Slytherins sneer. She sees the disgust in Draco Malfoy's glare, the cold judgment in Pansy Parkinson's smirk. A Potter among the snakes? A betrayal of everything her brother stands for. The first weeks are hell. Whispers follow her down the corridors. Some Slytherins ignore her. Others want her gone. Harry, Ron, and Hermione are wary-Why Slytherin?-and Harry's distant confusion stings more than she expected. But then, something shifts. Mattheo Riddle, dark, unreadable, and carrying a surname that terrifies most, doesn't sneer at her like the others. Theo Nott and Blaise Zabini don't shun her completely, watching her instead, testing her. Even Lorenzo Berkshire, ever the enigma, seems curious. Pansy, instead of tearing her down, extends an unexpected invitation-because, as she says with a smirk, if you're going to survive Slytherin, you'll need friends. Even Draco, reluctant and cold, starts seeing her differently when she refuses to back down. As Madeline fights to prove herself, she begins to see Slytherin for what it truly is-not just ambition and cruelty, but loyalty, strength, and survival. She expected enemies. She didn't expect to find a place where she might actually belong. But war looms. Lines are being drawn. Loyalties are being tested. And Madeline must decide: stand with the brother who barely knows her, or the house that's becoming her home.

"I have a more personal question," she ignored his arrogance. Watching him had sparked a new interest that seemed to overpower any interest she had in their previous conversation. "Oh?" he seemed surprised but didn't allow it to affect his composure. "Go ahead then." "Why me?" "I beg your pardon?" Sirius seemed confused. Marlene felt embarrassed asking it but it wouldn't be the first time it had danced around in her head. Sirius was the type of guy that could have any girl he wanted. He was smart, funny, immeasurably handsome, and he bloody well knew it. Though he was bit egotistical at times, his hot headedness had seemed to settle down immensely from the boy she had known from fifth and sixth year. "Of all the girls you could have picked from, you chose me. I want to know why." Sirius was looking at her funny - it was not quite the reaction she had been expecting. "Of all the girls I could have picked from. What exactly is that supposed to mean? Isn't it obvious?" * It's Marlene's seventh year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and she has graduated from blundering student to emotional train wreck. She knew that seventh year was going to be challenging, but she never imagined that N.E.W.T.s would be the least of her worries. The pressure of suppressing her emotions begins to take its toll, and it's only a matter of time before she breaks. She knows that she must tell Sirius how she truly feels if they ever stand a chance. As she struggles to win Sirius back, dark forces continue to loom over Hogwarts. Suddenly, Marlene finds herself immersed in something unexpected; threatening everything she knows and loves. Relationships blossom, alliances are formed, and adventures continue as Marlene and her friends enjoy their last moments before the war. They must rely on one another to fight the darkness, and together she and Sirius may just have a fighting chance after all. Highest Rank: #1 Blackinnon 03.13.21

"I don't know what you're all upset about Lily," Marlene said carefully, "This whole dance was your idea. You did know that dances require dates, right? And you've turned down several boys ... I figured you had a plan or something ... " In response, Lily just moaned, and threw her face back down into the pillow, "I did." Marlene raised an eyebrow, "Well, what happened then?" Lily pulled herself up into a sitting position, clearly about to go into a serious rant. "This dance," she sighed, "was going to be my way to ... well... ugh it doesn't even matter Marlene, he asked someone else." "Who!?" Marlene demanded, unsure of what to think, but despite the indications that Lily longed to rant, the redhead didn't answer. "You designed this entire dance just to get one boy to ask you out?" Mary realized, raising an eyebrow at her friend, impressed by the girl's ambition... ~ Lily designed a whole school dance so the boy she likes can ask her out. When he instead asks another girl, she must use the marauders and her friend Marlene to create the ultimate prank on James and make him jealous in return. Can they really pull it off? ~ Ships: JamesxLily RemusxMary SiriusxMarlene (I would have loved to have done wolfstar but Sirius and Marlene was already written into it) 34k words so sort of slow burn (no smut sorry lol), but it happens over the span of 10 days so.. idk ~ Achievements so far (thank you!!): #1 in Blackinnon #1 in JamesxLily #1 in LilyxJames #3 in Jilyfanfiction #9 in Jily First seven chapters written by @starfishbeliever on fan fiction.net and the rest was completed by me :)o

"So we're alone," he said slowly. "That's a thoughtful observation," she whispered. She could feel her fingertips tremble slightly as they clasped around his hair. She didn't know why she suddenly felt so nervous. She moved her hands and allowed her fingers to trail slowly and gently down the side of his face and he involuntarily shivered at her touch. Eventually her fingers landed on his lips and she traced across them softly. They parted slightly and she could hear and feel him let out what she assumed to be an unintentional breath. He moved inwards, his lips pulling from her fingertips to hover near her ear. "I'm a thoughtful person." * After getting accepted into the Healer training program and moving to London, Marlene begins her life outside of Hogwarts. Despite the looming dangers of war, she has a pretty decent life; she has friends who care about her, a boyfriend who loves her, and the determination to keep fighting for a life worth living. But it doesn't take long for Marlene to begin questioning her choices. As the world is falling apart around her, so are her relationships and any certainty that she once had. Except for Sirius; the only certainty she has left in the world. However, war only seems to be threatening to tear them apart. She can't quite put her finger on what has started changing, but something certainly has, and love may not be enough to get her through it this time. It is only a matter of time before Marlene must make the most important choice of all; join the war or fall apart.
