Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji enjoy their time traveling and doing jobs as they go when they decide to pay a visit to cloud recces. As they arrive, they are informed that the clan is currently deciding on whether to attend a welcoming ceremony for a clan that is obtaining a new leader due to a tragic accident. Excitingly wei ying offers for him and lan zhan to travel with disciples to the ceremony in place of the clan leader. The leader accepts and has the pair lead the young men and gifts to the Huang Clan with resides in the misty mountains nearby.
