It's In Your Blood

In the city of Los Angeles, California it was boring for Elizabeth Johnson but she did enjoy her friends from school. Elizabeth is 16 and lives with her younger brother named James who is 8 and her mom named Mary who is single. James goes to Ms. Copperfield's 3rd grade class and Elizabeth is in 10th grade. Their mom works 2 jobs, one as a clothing maker and the other at Bath & Body Works. Mary had Elizabeth at 25 and had James at 33. Elizabeth isn't the most popular in her school but in her grade she hangs out with the popular group. Everyone calls Elizabeth "Betty" which her mom started that nickname. Elizabeth's best friend is Maddie Smith, they have been friends since preschool. When mysteriously kids are dying in the town and no one knows how or why.
