Pebbles was raised in the sewers under New York City. Her and her "brothers" were taught martial arts and trained to one day go up to the surface and fight crime. Unfortunately their appearances and other mutations prevent their caretaker from letting them go up to the surface. Unless it was to get pizza of course.
