Sloane Moore is desperate for a summer job after her 2nd year in college, and once the opportunity to be a lifeguard at Gulf Shores-a 5 hour car trip away, she was set for the summer before she got her adulthood on.
Maya Levine on the other hand grew up in Gulf Shores. She'd been a lifeguard at point 8 since she was 15. She'd officially started college last fall but dropped out in February due to her and her now ex-girlfriend's breakup getting in the way of her studies.
Sloane and Maya meeting each other was fate. The two were instant friends since they had so much in common, ergo- lacked one thing in their life; love. Sloane had an abusive boyfriend throughout her Junior and senior year of high school, leaving her heart unwilling of love, but her brain says different. Maya was ready to find love as quickly as possible, even after her last breakup she'd still been up to give love another shot.
