Lawbringer

2022, New York city.
In a fit of rage, Isaac Torres finds himself incarcerated after brutally murdering two men attempting to kidnap his daughter. During his first stressful slumber in his cell, he later wakes up amidst the woods of Alaska, struggling to recall his very identity, let alone how he ended up there. Dressed in clothing from the nineteenth century, he quickly realizes something very wrong. He did not feel alone inside his head, something beyond reasoning resided within it, granting him manipulation over an unknown substance that would hide many secrets, a thick mist, dark as the void.

Overwhelmed yet blinded by a false sense of righteousness, he decides to use these strange powers to embark on a mission: to rid the world of all evil. An incomprehensibly unrealistic goal, one that would degrade and mold his psyche into a continuously evolving clump of clay, often finding himself questioning morality time and time again.
In time, he would becoming known nationally as the Lawbringer.

However, it wouldn't take long until he finds there are others. People like him, with powers of their own, ranging from insidious tricks, to threatening all life on earth. Anything is possible.
Many of these people would prove deadly opponents: psychopaths, gang leaders and even corporate overlords, while others would join in taking down the worst of the worst, dismissing his goal entirely.

One thing was for certain: the origin of these powers, and that of evil itself, would be something not meant for the minds of humans.
And yet, it would find its way to them eventually.
