After the recent car crash her parents were in, Bea Gilmore just became an orphan and has nowhere to go to. That is until her distant relatives, Richard Gilmore (her grandparent's brother) and Emily Gilmore, decide to take her from her hometown in England to theirs in Connecticut, America. 

There they know they are not the best option to take care of her, so as they have an idea they decide to make a deal with their only daughter, Lorelai.

As Lorelai is forced to take Bea in, thanks to the deal she made with her parents, she and Rory will have to learn how to live with a new family member just as Bea will learn how to deal with her recent loss, as they all navigate through life in Stars Hollow.
