On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, forty-three women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began.

Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible.

He got eight of them.

Charlotte Hargreeves, a peculiar girl who can turn invisible at any given moment, is adopted; she now has a new family and new friends, a school for other kids like her, with abilities far beyond the ordinary, but when Charlotte ends up on a mission far more dangerous than they had expected, something goes wrong.

The only thing that can be done to save her life is to reconstruct her body permanently. She'd now be 13 forever, never aging, never changing, and when Five decides to make a life-altering decision, throwing himself through time. She has to stop him, but when they are separated, she ends up in the past; Charlotte has to learn how to cope with her life going undetected by people as she still, and forever will, appear 13, but one day, when she finds a briefcase accompanied by a mysterious note, everything would change.
