A CLOSE CALL

"Who's there," I can't breath. I'm always looking over my shoulder ever since- I can't think about the now. I have to run but where, back to Jake? No I can't, everything is different now. He's supposed to be here to protect me, because if the got me... blood smears the pages of the passed. "Sapphire!" I hear him call. "Coal!" I reach out to touch him only for him to be yanked just out of my reach. I hear the wolves in the distance howling at the beautiful moon. I need his touch again. I need to know I'm safe. The only safe place anymore is pressed against him under the sheets. "Coal!" I call out again. ---I can hear her. She's here somewhere I know it. I can smell her sent threw the thick of the woods. "Sapphire!" I call out, but my call is lost in the night. I have to protect her. I have to save one, just one. Maybe that will be enough to clean the blood off my tainted skin. What if they get her? She'll... Change... I look up at the moon, could she not have heard my howls? Of course she did. She always did. I can hear the other wolves in the forest. Soon I too would be engulfed by the beast. Unable to control myself, unable to predict the beasts next move. Only she could tame the beast inside me. Why be afraid of the monster under the bed when you should be afraid of the one lying next to you under the sheets.--- I keep quiet in the deep dark night. Watching her waiting for her to come back to me. I wait for him to slip up just long enough for me to swoop in and take her. It's only a matter of time. I wait for him to turn into that hideous beast. The beast that only comes out in the light of the moon. The beast that feeds of the insentient. I have to find her,to make her perfect, at least that's what they tell me. They tell me she'll be perfect and she will be mine. She will be the beginning of a new ere the ere of the beast. People always wanted to unwind from school works and other personal problems. It might be going to parties, travel out of town or fly to other countries, or just having an adventure with mother nature. A group of students had a sudden boredom of clubbing and bar hopping every week. They thought about having an adventure instead. That is, away from their city that never sleeps. Kim found a spot outside their town, everyone agreed and was excited to be there. They already had plans on what to do when they get there. All of them packed their things and go. That adventure was new to all of them and they love it. The smell of fresh flowers and the cold breeze was refreshing. Vibing with a song and sing together while swaying their bodies inside their van. But the question is, did their adventure went well? Or... The smell of fresh flowers will be replaced by the smell of fresh blood.

Hoping to shake this human off once and for all, I twisted my body around rapidly with a plan to put my words into action. When I was on my way to push this man as deep into the floor as possible my body all of the sudden went rigid. When my body froze solid, so did my brain. It took me several seconds to get out of my trance and when I finally did, all that was running through my mind were two words. Those eyes. All of the feelings that I had been hiding for the last 160 years were now coming crashing down on me. They were literally shooting out from this human's eyes like fire. A fire that burned into my core.

All Nyla wanted was a mate of her own, now she got one, but only to find out it was not how she envisioned him. I needed to find Kim and get out of here, tonight had officially went south. As I was walking up the steps of the porch, I felt a hand pulled me back and was pressed to a hard chest. What did he wanted now. "Where do you think your going?" Derek asked as his head was buried in my neck. "Where else? Inside dumb ass," I spat out in disgust. "Not with all those wild, un-tamed, un-mated males!" He growled. "Why it's not like you care about me?" I shot back. "I don't, but my wolf does" He doesn't want me but his wolf does that's even more hurtful. "He wants you, he wants you now. Your coming with me back to my territory." "You're an Alpha?" I asked bewildered finding out who my mate is. "Yes I am and you're coming with me!" He growled out slowly.

Life very rarely goes your way, you graduate high school, work your butt off for 4 years to grab a degree thinking you're gonna achieve your post-secondary dreams, only to end up working at some dead end job for what feels like the rest of your life. So when chance gives an opening to pursue a career in the dream job that Raj had aspired for all his life, of course he's going to take it (duh)! Even if it's out of town, in a place that he's never heard of, has no online presence whatsoever, and is filled to the brim with strangeness that no sane person would ever have expected. But hey, it's all gonna be worth it in the end right? Well Raj sure hopes so.

It started out as something anyone could have confused as a hangover, food poisoning, or any other puke indulging sickness. But then within minutes it morphed into something even the smartest and most experienced medical facilitators couldn't diagnose. I mean, how could you really label someone as transforming into a werewolf if less then a penny of the earth knew of the species? "Sienna... Sienna please go." Elijah pleaded, arms quivering as he coughed up more and more blood and bile, leaving a strong scent throughout the musky air. Why is life so hard? Why can't we all just be human and lead normal lives? If there was a wall here right about now I'd probably have the chance to bang my head into it repetitively, like what they always do in those cliché films when the protagonist is flustered. But then again it's normally on a locker where they can also bang their enraged fists. Oh typical high school drama, how I somewhat missed that. But no. I'm stuck here trying to help the boy I have a stupid secret crush on get through his transformation with the time for the train departure ticking away every second. And quite frankly, blood is my weak point. Yeah, not ideally a trait one should have in this current situation. But hey, being a hybrid comes with downsides.. Actually way more downsides then perks. Heck, I don't think my witchy powers really did me any good ever! Hence I'm trapped here in this scene where my attractive crush is coughing out that warm red liquid we all know so well.
