LONG FIC // COMPLETE Fifth Year has rolled around for the Marauders at Hogwarts. However, this year is a bit different because a certain Marauder; James Potter, has found himself in quite the puzzle You see, James is stuck between Lily Evans, who he thought was the only one for him, and a certain dark haired Slytherin boy, one he never thought he would ever have anything to do with given that this particular Slytherin is a relative of his best friend. See this Slytherin is none other than Fourth Year Regulus Black. James had never seen anything in Regulus before but this year is different. This year Regulus is...attractive. Regulus, however, is not quite the same, see he does have feelings for James, he has done since he started Hogwarts but he had made peace with the fact that he would never compare to Lily Evans. How will this story of theirs pan out in the end? Let's rewind... It's 1976 and Regulus is returning for his fifth year at Hogwarts. With one of the worst summers of his life behind him, he's slightly glad to be back at the castle. Regulus is looking forward to a relaxing year spent focusing on his studies and lounging in the library. Only, Regulus' plans are derailed after runs into (quite literally) the one and only James Potter. It seems passing the year is the least of Regulus' problems- with the dark lord's influence growing into his inner circle, new blossoming feelings for his brother's best friend who he should hate, and a prank that goes too far. Now, Sirius has made new friends and left his family in the past. Regulus knew things were different the moment Sirius didn't come home for the holidays in his first year. Now, Regulus is at Hogwarts, although his and his Gryffindor brother's relationship is completely different. 1/3 So it starts when Regulus is in fifth year (15-year-old) and James is in sixth year (16-year-old). The dates might not be accurate but just go with it. After a horrible relationship, Regulus was found crying in the hall and James found him. James comforted him and then they went back to James' room. And that's how it starts. Some pregnancy scares and pregnancy at the end of the story. (just to have some drama for the next generation).
