Grecia was forcibly spun around. Her back against Wood's chest as he pressed his arm against her neck and proceeded to cover her mouth. His other arm wrapped around hers tightly. She knew as well as he that she could not break his iron grip. And for all intents and purposes, he wanted her alive.
"Clever escape...you almost made it...if you hadn't grown nervous..." Woods whispered as he lifted her feet up and started shuffling backward. "You humans, so vulnerable, doused by fear. Yet when facing a vampire, it is indeed your worst enemy."
Grecia rolled her eyes, her legs swinging and dragging slightly. Her escape attempt failed this time, but she could always try again. She knew she had to. Yet a burning relief flooded inside of her. A small part was indecisively grateful that Woods made such tactful efforts to stop her from getting killed. She didn't want to die. Yet duty overruled emotions for her people. She needed to do whatever she could to get killed. Rather than, then be met with the fate of being bred like cattle.
