Behind those cold and distance onyx eyes, she saw his guilt and pain. And she simply soothed his pain away. As if it was as simple as breathing. With those warm smiles and kind eyes, she made him realize that he was more than just a hollow demon consumed by regrets.

She showed him that he had a heart. And when he told her that it's wounded deeply, she simply smiled and showed hers. Filled with cuts and thorns just like his. Sasuke wanted to know how could she smile so brightly when she was broken inside. How she could still be kind when the world has been cruel to her.

She simply told him. That she refuses to turn bitter because of the cruel world. Because that's not who she is. And that' what she will never be.

With each passing day he spent with her, he saw himself slowly stop picking up the shattered pieces and putting them back together. He saw himself letting go of what's gone. And appreciate what he had at this moment. He found himself starting over, Becoming a person he wanted to be instead of being someone the world forced him to be.

He found his black and white world became a colorful landscape. Smiles adorned his once tightly sealed lips. And the emptiness was replaced with joy. He came to appreciate the sunny mornings in winter and a cold iced tea in summer.

The moment when he stopped letting the world to change him, the world changed into a better one for him.

Sakura was on the very same bench Sasuke has left her. Crying with such sorrowful tears that it quickly saddened her surroundings. She was crying for her teammate, the very teammate now considered as a S-rank criminal. Sasuke Uchiha. She hated the name to be mentioned by her friends even it was only to reminisce those fun times they had together. "Why?" she cried. "Why did I have to be on love with someone like Sasuke-kun?" she complained bitterly. "If only." "If only I had one last chance." "Another chance to restart my life." "Even though, this would change my future, it's fin with me." "I just needed a second chance." Before she knew it, she was somewhere where no darkness existed, only light. "Where am I?" she wondered. "I will not tell you where you are," said a voice that felt like as soft as cotton and as elegant as ballet dancer dancing the most beautiful way. "Why am I here for?" asked Sakura. " You are here because of what you pleaded for," the voice said. "Your second chance." "My second chance?" "Yes, but you have to risk something." the voice said in a serous tone. " Your memory." "My memory?" said Sakura worriedly. She greatly cherished her memories, especially the fun times she had with her friends. " Yes, that will be the only sacrifice to get your second chance," replied the voice. Sakura was determined to get a second chance. " Alright, I accept." "Your second chance is granted." Then, another blinding light came to Sakura. Her recent memories were erased. Her second chance has become a reality . Will she be truly be happen this time? Three years have passed since the end of the Fourth Great Shinobi War, but for Ayuka Yuna, it still felt like only yesterday. Nightmares and gruesome memories of the battlefield haunted her mind on a daily basis, forever reminding her of the corpses littering the ground. Over time the incessant thoughts and images were too much, and she became desperate to escape them... by any means necessary. Suigetsu Hozuki had grown closer to Ayuka throughout the war, becoming one of the only people that she felt she could trust. He cared for her, probably more deeply than either of them realized, and he knew that keeping her alert and distracted was the only way she would overcome her own mind. So, after bidding farewell to their former comrades, the duo began traveling in search of the legendary blades of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen as a way of coping. Sasuke Uchiha was revered as a hero across the shinobi world. His name could be heard in whispers and conversations across every village, causing Ayuka to cringe every time it graced her ears. Hearing his name now was only a painful reminder of his abandonment, although she hoped it would not remain that way for long... **This story is incomplete, but I will not be continuing it. Please continue to enjoy it as it was originally written. Thank you all for your kind support and please read my Conversation Posts on my page for more details.** { Sequel to Resistance } { Naruto Fanfiction // Sasuke x OC } { Set a year after 'The Last' plot }

The Good Stuff Coffee Joint became Sasuke's paradise, his true oasis. It was his sanctuary every morning, sometimes twice on really grueling shitty days. Each time he would enter hearing the little ring ring, it was like music to his ears, and when he took his first sip, hot damn, it was like crack... or voodoo or some shit. His always tense (to his mother fucking ears) shoulders would relax, would melt like butter in a hot pan. No one bothered him, and no one was too loud. It was perfect... until a moron decided to break that peace smashing it into a million pieces. Or All his life, Sasuke wanted to be a gangster... Who knew blue eyes would stop him cold in his tracks. Set in the 50s/60s, comes with heavy Mafia vibes. Please read warnings before reading the one shot. Thank you!
