Ranpo and Poe didn't talk much to each other. Even if they were friends wen they was kids.

And they weren't in the same class-Poe is older than Ranpo so it makes sense-

But one day they "miraculously" became friends.

And Ranpo having noticed that he managed to make Poe blush all the time -even when he didn't particularly want to- he decided to challenge Poe. He had to make Ranpo blush before the end of the year.
