The Last Great Illéan Dynasty. 
100 years after Queen Eadlyn's happily ever after, her eldest daughter, Kerttu, came to the throne and found love without the need of a Selection. With the tradition by now long forgotten by a generation, Queen Kerttu and her husband died tragically in an attack during a visit to the province of Sumner, leaving their one and only daughter and heir as Queen at the tender age of ten. 

Queen Corlina had a shielded life after the passing of her parents, with her Prime Minister assuming the powers of regent and reinstating many old laws, such as the caste system and the mandatory draft. As she comes of age, Corlina finds herself without allies, with fragile alliances with the other kingdoms and is pressured into marriage by more than one member of her Court.

22 years after Queen Corlina came to the throne her son and heir, Prince Sean, is now having a chance to find true love, something Corlina never had. Corlina was adamant that the future King should be entitled to, even through the not so ethical ways of a Selection, finding his one true love to reign by his side and be Illéa's long awaited Princess.
