Hot shot is five years old. He lives with his father Heatwave and his mother Quickshadow. They live in Dallas Texas. Heatwave is a firefighter and Quickshadow is a pediatric oncology nurse. Hot shot is a very active and playful child. He loves to run, jump, climb and play. He is a very loving, kind, honest, well behaved and generous child with a big heart. Hot shot loves to be with his parents and family. Hot shot is a very happy and healthy child. However soon Hot shot begins to feel unwell. Hot shot has a horrible headache that is not going away, along with vomiting, being tired and cranky. Hot shot feels so bad one night his parents rush him to Children's Medical Center Dallas' ER. There Hot shot is admitted for the pain he is in. One of the doctors demands an MRI the following morning. He wants the MRI done of Hot shot's head. The MRI reveals a a brain tumor. Hot shot is a bit scared and worried. Then tests are done and Hot shot is then diagnosed with atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor or ATRT a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is ready to be brave and fight his cancer head on. Hot shot makes friends with four other kids his age with the same type of cancer.
