Tides of Destiny (Descendants/PJO Crossover)

In the crossover universe of *Descendants* and *Percy Jackson*, Ben, the future king of Auradon, is 18 years old and betrothed to Mariana Alexandra, the demigod daughter of Poseidon and the older half-sister of Percy Jackson. Mariana, also 18, has always been destined to marry Ben, and their engagement has been a cherished bond since childhood.
During the events of *Descendants 1*, Mariana is present in Auradon as the royal ball approaches. However, when Mal casts a love spell on Ben, Mariana witnesses her betrothed's brief lapse in affection. Despite the spell, Ben quickly regains his senses at the enchanted lake and pretends to be under the spell to investigate Mal's motives.
As Mal realizes her reluctance to fulfill her mother's demands, the other Villain Kids also show signs of rebellion. Audrey, meanwhile, persists in her attempts to win Ben's heart, but her efforts fail in the face of his true love for Mariana.
