꧁I looked up into her eyes, her distant silver eyes. No one else could possibly see what i see, because they never look long enough to notice.

They were like rainbows, how they shimmered in the sunlight, or how they'd  glimmer when she saw she came out on top in any activity in class.

Usually i'd be mad at being worse than someone, but i'd gladly be at the bottom if it meant she was at the top. I wanted to be by her side, and i wanted her to want to be by mine. She always wanted to talk about Akaki whenever she could, but i wanted her to talk about herself. She gave me enough to answer my question, but not everything that I wanted to know. I wanted her to know that I could be someone who understands, and someone who would make her feel safe. ꧂
