Why study Prophecy? 1. Because of the importance that God places on prophecy > Over 1/4 of the bible consists of prophesies > 27% of the bible is predictive prophecy 2. Because of the literal fulfillment of past prophecies (Malacchi 3:6) 3. Because of Christ's criticism of the religious leaders of His day (John 1:11; Luke 12:56) 4. Because of Apostle Paul's instructions (1 Thessalonians 5:2-6; Luke 21:28) 5. There is a blessing that goes with it (Rev. 1:3; 22:7) Revelation 1:3 "Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it: for the time is near."
