After Leah got two-timed by her now ex, Bartholomew Smith, she felt like she no longer wanted to be on the same campus. However, during her study session with her two best friends, Liam and Paige, she conjured up a flawless plan. The plan? Take revenge by dating, and fucking, his football team captain. "Look..." Luka searched his mind for my name again. "Leah." I reminded him. "Yeah Leah," He looked up and away from me, clearly lost in thought, "I don't have time to fiddle with your freshmen relationship problems." He then looked straight at me. My heart resisted the urge to jump out of my chest, "Besides, I'm already taken." "Oh."

Elysa Degras' junior year of high school has been off to a rocky start. Soccer practices have been kicking her butt, her advanced math class has really been kicking her butt, and her history teacher just blackmailed her into joining the school's (ultra nerdy) Quiz Bowl team. And if that wasn't bad enough, her recent budding attraction to her best friend has also been complicating her life. Especially since she went and lied about it, blurting some preposterous nonsense about having a secret boyfriend to try and explain all her recent weird behavior. In an attempt to salvage the situation and save her friendship, she decides to enlist the help of one of her brother's friends to pose as the supposed new boyfriend, but there's something more than a little suspicious about Luke Haywood, and it's not just his unnerving ability to make their relationship seem anything but fake. She's almost positive he's hiding something, and with everything else spiraling dangerously out of control, she can't afford to leave his secret in the dark.
