Sedona's life is completely uprooted due to complicated family dynamics and ends up living next door to Vinny. They discover peace and safety within each other and the tree that is shared between their houses. But Sedona picks up and chooses a new life for herself that Vinny has no interest in. When things fall apart, she returns home for clarity.
