Clio Kinzee is your typical evil sidekick. She's tough, undyingly loyal, and - unfortunately for her - headed to an early grave. 

That is, of course, until the woman who created her steals her body. 

Maisie is an aspiring author who loves her characters more than her sleep, her health, even her donuts. When struggling to end her story for fear of ruining the fictional life of one of her precious creations, she somehow ends up deposited into the novel, inhabiting the body of a woman who dies in chapter five.

Whilst keeping her character alive beyond her time, she's forced to face the utterly dramatic, angst-ridden characters that spawned within her own imagination. The longer she spends stuck in a world of her own making, seeking a way out, the more Maisie realizes that perhaps her characters deserve better than what she put them through. Dealing with the glittering smiles and sarcastic barbs of her own villain is more than she's certain she can handle, and fixing the plot is not something she'll be able to do on her own. 

Before Maisie's time as Clio is up, she'll need all the help she can get to:
a. Give all her precious babies happy endings
b. Prevent herself from falling in love with her own unfortunately charismatic villain
c. Avoid her own constantly imminent death

It can't possibly be that hard, right?
