"I never knew you would be so... wild."

Hriday raised an eyebrow.

"Wild?"

"Yeah," she said, smiling a little. "The kiss... it was sweet. Like you, sweetheart."

Her words made him smirk.

"And mine?" he asked, leaning a little closer. "Did you like it?"

Gauri pretended to think, tapping her chin lightly.

"It was... okay."

Hriday stared at her, narrowing his eyes slightly.

Mischief.

He could see it clearly on her face.

"Oh, really?" he said slowly.

She nodded, trying to hide her smile.

"Okay."

He leaned closer, his voice dropping into something dangerously calm.

"Then we have all night to make it perfect... don't we, sweetheart?"

Her breath caught again.

"You do know..." he added, a faint grin forming, "how much of a perfectionist your husband is."

Gauri looked at him, her heart racing-but this time, she didn't look away.
