The sun had long since set, casting a warm orange glow over the town square. Madden and Hawk stood beneath the ancient oak tree, their eyes scanning the surrounding area for any sign of who might have sent the mysterious invitation.

"Who do you think it is?" Madden asked, his voice low and skeptical.

Hawk shrugged, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "I don't know, but I'm intrigued. Midnight is a pretty weird time for a meeting, don't you think?"
