The prototype is supposed to send the person either forward or backwards in time, something the Commander seems obsessed with. However, something goes wrong and Shadow is teleported into an alternate Universe. As Shadow tries to find a way back home, he is roped into a crazy adventure. And a romance he never thought could happen. ------- I know I already have a story with the same name but I decided to re-write it. It was about damn time too. "what makes you say that?" sonadow/ modern world au bored out of his mind, sonic the hedgehog and his brother manic venture out to the bar, but there's a catch: the azure of the two is in make-up and a dress! looking pretty feminine enough, they decide to mess with the werido drunkies of the establishment but upon meeting an ebony hedgehog named shadow, sonic starts to forget what made this joke funny in the first place. shadow the hedgehog is dragged to the bar by his brother mephiles and it's not like there's any way to escape. the striped hedgehog sits alone in a corner wishing to be no where but home but when a pretty girl in a pink dress approaches him he feels like a new man. what makes this all better: she has the same sense of humor as his! it's hard to believe she's a normal girl but nevertheless.. shadow is in love! if only he knew.. 'sonette' is actually a boy.. ... note this is an au, all ages and personalities are altered to fit the fic. With hopes to divert Sonic's interest away from having a boyfriend, Eggman hatches an impressively evil plan to get rid of Shadow. When sonic and shadow stopped the space colony ark from colliding with earth shadow failed to make it out with sonic and ended up falling to earth.
