First Encounter || Zach Mitchell x OC ||

Zach and Gray wandered through the park's petting zoo cautiously, Zach eyeing Zara who lingered a couple paces behind them, talking on her phone. Zach tears his eyes away from Zara long enough to scan the crowd of children running around him and Gray. Gray tugged relentlessly on his sleeve to pull him forward but Zach found himself planted in place, his gaze stuck on a taller figure looming over the mostly shorter crowd.

There stood a boy, he couldn't have been more than a year or two older than Zach. He occasionally crouched down to show his tablet to little kids who asked questions. He held a faint but cocky smile on his face as he talked. Cracked a joke here and there, making them giggle. The collar of his flannel would fall sometimes, showing his tan and probably sunburned shoulder against his white tank top.

He stood up, giving the group of little kids one final smile before sending them off. He opened his eyes, leaving Zach in his direct line of sight. They held eye contact for a moment before the boy smiled at him, giving him a quick wink and a wave. He then returned to his tablet, clicking around before handing it off to another worker and then disappearing into the crowd.

"You saw that... right?"
