Prologue:
Julian, a former U.S. Army medic and his girlfriend gets into an accident, getting her out of the water he has to do CPR to bring her back, luckily saving her life. While all this was happening, an unprecedented global phenomenon wiped out all electronics, and made it so humankind is unable to sleep. 

The people struggle to think clearly from the loss of sleep, they start growing irrational and violent. This plague of insomnia threatens to eradicate the human species and life as we know it.

However, what if Julian's girlfriend, Yn, holds the key to a cure? Can sleep-deprived Julian protect her when everyone has only a few days to live?

- In this Jill is replaced with a Male version of her character and he does not have kids.
