An overexcited barista new to the city, a gloomy stranger with a kind heart and a cozy Cafe welcoming those who need a break. This short story follows the Uni-student Jasper, who tries to make a new friend while working a job in his free-time. All this while living in a world where humans and witches live together in mostly harmony, and where summoning demons is a forbidden act.
Tales from the Coffee Shop is a writing practice for the characters of a hopefully upcoming Urban Fantasy story in which Jasper will be one of the side characters.

When Sapphire enters Hitherto Café she encounters her first love-the boy who left her life in ruins when he fled town after high-school without so much as a word goodbye. One glance of Keith's haunted blue eyes tells her he's finally ready to talk. As for her? She no longer cares enough to listen. At least that's what she tells herself. Besides, Sapphire has enough on her plate. Her best friend Diana is barely holding up, desperate, Sapphire pushes her issues with Keith aside and teams up with Diana's potential interest, Matt. Together, she and Matt struggle to keep Diana from slipping into depression. When Sapphire blows off steam by kissing another guy during a random house party, Keith falls apart. With this evidence that Keith's feelings for her are genuine, Sapphire has to choose now: Give Keith another chance and risk losing all the progress she's made in getting over him or finally let go of the only boy she's ever truly loved. ~ [A huge Thank You to - @Tamaradw for editing the blurb & helping me improve it.] This story is in its first draft and a little rough around the edges.
