Queen Rhaenyra ascended the throne with a trail of blood. Blood of the Hightowers, Alicent and Otto. She cut off the trail of poison that dripped for far too long. Rhaenyra needed a way to unite her house, lest history repeat itself. The twin princesses were betrothed to their uncles, in an effort to heal the divide.
